Considered the first airport of the jet age, Los Angeles International Airport is a prime symbol of L.A.'s drive to become one of the globe's most vital gateways. A decade of planning was required before the initial phase of construction was completed in 1961, anchored by the iconic, gravity-defying arches of the Theme Building. The airport's experimental scheme was the earliest of its kind to use a satellite terminal system, in which passengers walked from airline ticketing areas through underground tunnels, and emerged via escalators into distinct departure pavilions located adjacent to the runways. Year after year, Armenians all around the world gather together and march for recognition of the bloody 1915 massacres that killed 1.5 million innocent people, as an official genocide. Commemorating 102 years since the tragedy struck under the hands of the Ottoman Empire, Angeleno Armenians, of both younger and older generations, continue to take a stand for justice. Formal recognition provides not just long awaited healing, but also protection and prevention for other vulnerable minority communities globally. Foreign investment is also below ideal levels and creates a gap in market understanding, according to Garrett. He believes that the Chinese private sector is much stronger than recent stock market worries would represent, creating significant opportunity for business growth. Wharton graduates must have a global understanding in order to capitalize on these changes...
